Grace Charles
Research Scientist

Dr. Grace Charles supports Surgo’s research activities, including developing data collection and analytical methods and generating insights to investigate and transform health behaviors in developing countries.

Prior to joining Surgo, Grace worked as a PhD student and project manager in Kenya. There, she designed environmental research projects aimed at understanding how various changes can reverberate through natural systems. Grace led international teams in experimental design, data collection, and analytics. She also worked to make data more accessible by integrating long-term experimental databases.

Grace holds a PhD in ecology from the University of California Davis and an AB in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University.
