Hannah Kemp
Director of Programs

Hannah oversees Surgo’s portfolio of innovative programs as well as the Foundation’s communications activities. She is passionate about solving complex problems by bringing to bear a holistic, systems-level point of view along with deep customer insights.  Hannah believes in the power of data and new approaches to solving tough development challenges.

Hannah has worked across the global development landscape from donors to implementing partners and consulting firms. Prior to Surgo, Hannah worked for Deloitte Consulting’s Emerging Markets practice, where she led projects related to strategy, economic development, energy, and health systems strengthening.  Prior to Deloitte, Hannah worked for the US Agency for International Development, focusing on strategic assessments in Africa. Her work has taken her around the globe, from Jordan to the Philippines to Tanzania. Hannah has a Master’s in Public Administration and International Development from The George Washington University, and a BA in History and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia.
