Mokshada is the India representative for Surgo, who provides technical oversight and programmatic support for the day-to-day, on-ground management and execution of research and investment portfolios in India to ensure that the foundation’s mandate and investments are cutting edge and in sync with the policy and plans of partners and government. She also spends time analyzing data and generating insights for programs. Her passion lies in striving to drive change in the international development space through innovative strategies resulting from carefully designed research and advanced analytics. Mokshada possesses broad experience in functioning of large-scale development programs with focus on design and implementation of research and its use.

Before joining Surgo, Mokshada took on various roles within the BMGF supported Uttar Pradesh Technical Support Unit, Centre for Global Public Health, University of Manitoba. Her roles have involved designing research, managing research operations, conducting sophisticated quantitative analysis to inform program strategies, designing interactive dashboards for government managers to facilitate evidence backed decision making and contributing to solution design and knowledge translation. In her last role there, she was in-charge of the end-to-end management and implementation of Surgo Foundation’s Uttar Pradesh portfolio. In all her roles, she has actively engaged with multiple stakeholders including program implementation teams, donors, government officials, research agencies etc.

Mokshada has a master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BSc in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
